On February 2, 2025, a fire broke out in the Student Roost building, a student accommodation block on Great Patrick Street in Belfast. 事件は午後12時30分ごろに起こり,建物の避難に至った. The incident occurred around 12:30 PM, leading to the evacuation of the building. 消防 士 は 呼吸 装置 を 使っ て , 犠牲 者 が 出 ない よう に 火 を 消そ う と し て 成功 し まし た。 Firefighters, using breathing apparatus, successfully extinguished the blaze without any reported casualties. 航空 機 を 含め , 幾つ も の 消防 車 が 現場 に 配備 さ れ まし た。 Multiple fire appliances, including an aerial one, were deployed to the scene. 火の原因は未だ不明である.
