India's Oil Minister introduced the Oilfields (Regulation and Development) Amendment Bill, 2024, aiming to boost oil and gas exploration by offering policy stability and ease of business for investors. この法案は,近々承認されるものと見積もられ,賃貸期間を延長し,国際調停を許可し,1948年法律の一部の規定を廃止する. The bill, expected to be approved soon, extends lease periods and allows international arbitration, decriminalizing some provisions of the 1948 law. この動きは国内生産の増加を図り,現在は原油の85%以上,天然ガスの約半分をインドが輸入に強い依存度を下げることを目指している. This move seeks to increase domestic production and reduce India's heavy reliance on imports, currently over 85% for crude oil and about half for natural gas.
