The National Library Board (NLB) will close the library@orchard on October 28 for a two-year renovation, set to conclude in 2026. このイニシアチブは,テクノロジーでインタラクティブなエリアと新しい子供用のセクションで空間を若返らせるのを目的としています. This initiative aims to rejuvenate the space with tech-enabled interactive areas and a new children's section. 図書館のデザインと応用芸術コレクションは, 2024年末に開館する中央芸術図書館に移行し,一部は国立デザインセンターに移行する. The library's design and applied arts collection will move to the Central Arts Library, opening in late 2024, and partially to the National Design Centre. 図書館の芸術とデザインの歴史を記念するプログラムが 閉館前に開催されます A program celebrating the library’s art and design history will precede the closure.
