Odisha's Chief Minister announced a new agreement for a mega steel plant in Keonjhar, to be signed during the Utkarsh Odisha event on January 28-29. この工場はJSWとポスコの合弁企業で,年間500万トンの鋼を生産することを目指しています. The plant, a joint venture between JSW and Posco, aims to produce 5 million tonnes of steel annually. このプロジェクトは、抗議によって前工場から撤退した2017年度のポスコの撤退に従い,ミネラルの豊富な区域であるKeonjharを開発するという国家の目標と一致している. This project follows Posco's 2017 withdrawal from a previous plant due to protests, and aligns with the state's goal to develop Keonjhar, a mineral-rich area.
