カリフォルニア大学マーセド校の学生担当副学長チャールズ・ニーズ氏が、ミネソタ大学ダルース大学（UMD）の次期学長に選ばれた。 Charles Nies, a vice chancellor for student affairs at the University of California, Merced, has been chosen as the next chancellor of the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD). ミネソタ州出身のニース氏は、5月9日と10日のミネソタ大学評議員会の承認を待って、7月1日に着任する予定である。 Nies, a Minnesota native, is set to begin his role on July 1, pending approval by the University of Minnesota Board of Regents at their May 9 and 10 meeting. ニース氏は、レンドリー・ブラック首相が2022年夏に退任して以来務めてきたデイブ・マクミラン暫定首相の後任となる。 Nies will succeed Interim Chancellor Dave McMillan, who has served since Chancellor Lendley Black's retirement in summer 2022.
