China has unveiled SYT80, a T1200-grade ultra-high-strength carbon fiber material, becoming the first country to achieve industrial-scale production at this strength level. 北京在住のCNBMOが開発した繊維は,人間の髪よりも細いが,鉄鋼の約10倍,重さは4分の1に過ぎない. Developed by a Beijing-based CNBM subsidiary, the fiber, thinner than a human hair, has tensile strength about 10 times that of steel and only a quarter of its weight. 数百トンの年間生産量で,その材料により,航空宇宙,空間,インフラなどにおける高度な応用が可能となり,中国の材料技術と自給自足の大きな飛躍を遂げている. With annual output in the hundreds of tons, the material enables advanced applications in aerospace, automotive, and infrastructure, marking a major leap in China’s materials technology and self-reliance.
