レンフルー郡から1,200人以上の学生が、2026年2月24日から26日にアルゴンキン大学ペンブロークキャンパスで開催されたオンタリオ・パワー・ジェネレーションの職業促進イベントで熟練職人のキャリアを探求しました。これはこのイニシアチブがオタワバレーで初めて開催された回です。 Over 1,200 students from Renfrew County explored skilled trades careers during the Ontario Power Generation’s Trades Promoting Trades event at Algonquin College’s Pembroke Campus, Feb. 24–26, 2026—the first time the initiative was held in the Ottawa Valley. このイベントは,OPG職員及び15のパートナー会社との連携を図るため,溶接・足場工事・潜水などで手作業の経験を提供した. The event offered hands-on experiences in welding, scaffolding, diving, and more, with students engaging with OPG staff and 15 partner companies. キャリア意識や先進的学習に重点を置くことや,受験や大学教育プログラムを含んだ非慣習の道に若者を露呈することに重点を置くこと. Focus was on career awareness, experiential learning, and exposing youth to non-traditional paths, including apprenticeships and college programs, rather than recruitment.
