イースタンカウンティーズ地域のニュースクエストスタッフは、英国を代表する若者ホームレス支援団体センターポイントを支援するためのスポンサー付き宿泊イベントに参加しています。 Newsquest staff in the Eastern Counties region are taking part in a sponsored sleepout to support Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity. このイベントは,16歳から25歳の若者のための住宅,雇用,教育,精神健康支援等のサービスの資金と意識を高める. The event raises funds and awareness for services including housing, employment, education, and mental health support for young people aged 16 to 25. 昨年11万8千人以上の若者が ホームレスや住宅の不確実性で 支援を求めました センターポイントは毎年1万6千人を超える若者を支援し 2024/25年には70%近くが 自立生活を 達成しました Last year, over 118,000 young people sought help with homelessness or housing insecurity, and Centrepoint assisted more than 16,000 annually, with nearly 70% achieving independent living in 2024/25. この年次スリープアウトは20年間で500万ポンド以上を集め、全国ヘルプラインを含む重要なプログラムを支援しています。 The annual sleepout has raised over £5 million in two decades, supporting vital programs including a national helpline.
