The Ghana Tourism Authority launched "Highlife @ 100" on December 19, 2025, marking 100 years of Ghana’s Highlife music, recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage. アクラで開催されたイベントは、沿岸地域におけるジャンルのルーツ及び世界的な影響を尊重し、特にアフロビート(アフロビートス)に、祭りや教育、そしてアーティストの支援を通じて、一年間にわたる取り組みを実施した。 The event in Accra honored the genre’s roots in coastal communities and its global influence, especially on Afrobeats, and launched a year-long initiative to preserve, promote, and innovate Highlife through festivals, education, and support for artists. GTAのCEOであるMame Efua Houadjetoは,Highlifeが国家アイデンティティ,観光,文化外交における役割を強調し,音楽指導者は,ドキュメンテーションと若者の関与に対する政府の投資を増やすよう求めた. GTA CEO Maame Efua Houadjeto emphasized Highlife’s role in national identity, tourism, and cultural diplomacy, while music leaders called for increased government investment in documentation and youth engagement.
