Hokkaido University, marking its 150th anniversary in 2026, boosted global partnerships by hosting the “150 Initiative” in Singapore on November 3, 2025. 国土交通省と共同で開催されたこのイベントは,日本大使館,シンガポール政府機関,大学,産業産業から60人を超える代表者を結集した. Co-organized with Hokkaido Prefecture, the event brought together over 60 representatives from Japan’s embassy, Singaporean agencies, universities, and industries. キョーロ・ホクシン首相は,農業,漁業及び天然資源における大学研究の成果を強調し,アジア太平洋の共同農業・食糧技術開発パートナーとの共同事業を促進し,持続可能な開発と革新を推進した. President Dr. Kiyohiro Houkin highlighted the university’s research strengths in agriculture, fisheries, and natural resources, promoting joint agri-food technology projects with Asia-Pacific partners to advance sustainability and innovation.
