Five crew members fell overboard from a Sierra Leone-flagged merchant ship off South Korea’s Jeju Island on December 12, 2025, around 4:47 p.m. local time, about 33 kilometers southwest of Seogwipo port. 15 人 の 乗組 員 を 乗せ た 船 は , 事故 が 起き た 時 , 貨物 を 積ん で 出発 し て い まし た。 The vessel, carrying 15 crew members, was en route with cargo when the incident occurred. 韓国 の 沿岸 警備 員 は , 5 隻 の 巡航 船 , 2 隻 の 救助 船 , ヘリコプター , 海軍 船 など を 用い て , 捜索 と 救助 活動 を 開始 し まし た。 South Korea’s coast guard launched a search and rescue operation using five patrol ships, two rescue boats, a helicopter, and a naval vessel, while also requesting help from nearby ships. 事件の原因は未だ調査中である.
