The International Geothermal Standard Committee (IGSC) was launched in Beijing on November 26, 2025, with China’s Sinopec hosting its permanent secretariat. ISSCは国際地熱学会から開始し,15ヶ国から30人の専門家を結集し,地熱資源探査,掘削,電力発電,地域暖房に関するグローバル標準を創出した. Initiated by the International Geothermal Association, the IGSC unites 30 experts from 15 countries to create global standards for geothermal resource exploration, drilling, power generation, and district heating. 委員会は,技術配置の加速と国際協力の推進を目的として,2025-2027年度の作業計画を採用した. The committee adopted its work plan for 2025–2027, aiming to accelerate technology deployment and international cooperation. 中国の主要な地熱発電事業者シネペックは,中国国内標準の半数以上と,毎年620万トン近いCO2排出を削減する大規模暖房事業の開発に係る役割を強調した. Sinopec, a leading Chinese geothermal developer, highlighted its role in creating over half of China’s national standards and its large-scale heating projects that reduce CO2 emissions by nearly 6.2 million tons annually. IGSCの努力は、効率的かつ自動化的な地熱エネルギーの開発を可能にすることで、地球の気候変動目標を支えるものと見られている。 The IGSC’s efforts are expected to support global climate goals by enabling efficient, scalable geothermal energy development.
