St. Jude India ChildCare Centres, partnering with Tata Memorial Centre’s ACTREC, has opened India’s largest 'home away from home' facility in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai—a 12-storey, 234-unit complex offering free housing for over 700 families annually. 大規模ながん病院から たった100メートル離れた場所に 設置されているこのセンターは 長期の小児がん治療の際に 患者を支援することで 治療放棄を減らすことを目標としています Located just 100 meters from a major cancer hospital, the center aims to reduce treatment abandonment by supporting families during lengthy pediatric cancer care. また,教育及び職業資源を含むとともに,20年以上にわたり1万4000世帯に奉仕することを期待されている. It includes educational and vocational resources, and is expected to serve 14,000 families over 20 years. この取り組みは,過去の成功を目指すため,30%以上から5%以下に減退した治療を促進する. The initiative builds on past success in lowering treatment abandonment from over 30% to under 5%.
