Sharon Barrie, Highland Council’s Service Lead for Design and Construction, received two major honors in October 2025: the Chartered Institute of Building’s Open Award for Scotland and Fellowship—the institute’s highest recognition—citing her over 35 years of leadership in public construction projects, including schools, housing, and community facilities, and her mentorship of 13 graduate apprentices.
