A fire on November 2 destroyed the main building of the historic Mont-Dieu Carthusian monastery in northeastern France, a site known as the “Notre-Dame of the Ardennes” and designated a historic monument since 1946. 近く の ウォーカー の 報告 に よる と , 火 は 屋根 と 床 を 焼き尽くし , 壁 だけ を 残し まし た。 The blaze, reported by nearby walkers, consumed the roof and floor, leaving only the walls standing. 消防士は午前10時に到着し,午後4時までに火を鎮めたが,建物は崩壊の危険性がある. Firefighters arrived at 10 a.m. and contained the fire by 4 p.m., though the structure remains at risk of collapse. 12世紀の修道院は,17世紀に再建されたが,当時は美術品は中になかった. The 12th-century monastery, rebuilt in the 17th century, had no artworks inside at the time. 原因は不明である. The cause is unknown.
