The Indian government has approved the NaMo Semiconductor Laboratory at IIT Bhubaneswar with a Rs 4.95 crore budget from the MPLAD Scheme to boost semiconductor design skills and support 'Make in India' and 'Design in India'. この研究室には4.6億円のツールと35万円のソフトウェアが用意されており,チップの設計,製造,パッケージングの訓練を学生に提供し,現存する研究インフラとオディシャの2つの新しい半導体プロジェクトを補完します. The lab, equipped with Rs 4.6 crore for tools and Rs 35 lakh for software, will train students in chip design, fabrication, and packaging, complementing existing research infrastructure and two new semiconductor projects in Odisha. これは、すでに295の大学からの学生と、28の学生が設計したチップのテープアウトに成功したインドの成長する人材プールを拡大することを目的としている。 It aims to expand India’s growing talent pool, which already includes students from 295 universities and 28 successfully taped-out student-designed chips.
