A 3,800-year-old archaeological site was found in K'ómoks territory during a sewer project in Courtenay, British Columbia. コモックス・バレー地域地区 (CVRD) は,コモックス河口,ホルムズポイント,グーススピット沿岸の海岸線と水域を保護することを目的としたプロジェクトで,コモックス・ファーストリネイション (K'ómoks First Nation, KFN) と密接に協力しました. The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) worked closely with the K'ómoks First Nation (KFN) on the project, which aims to protect the shoreline and waters in the Comox Estuary, Point Holmes, and Goose Spit coastlines.
