The Supreme Court of India has refused to consider a plea to ban social media for children under 13, stating it’s a policy issue for Parliament to address. この請願書を提出したZeP財団は,バイオメトリック認証を含む年齢検証システムを求め,かつ,不適性に対する罰金を請求した. The Zep Foundation, which filed the petition, sought age verification systems, including biometric authentication, and penalties for non-compliance. 裁判所は,請願者が政令の代理をすることを認め,8週間以内に検討を行わせることを許可した. The court allowed the petitioner to make a representation to the government, to be considered within eight weeks.
